Chiropractic deals with the nervous system. The brain and nervous system is the master control system of your body. The brain controls every organ, every gland, every muscle, every cell of your body. IBM calls it the world’s most advanced computer. All the benefits of chiropractic care are due to the removal of interference in the nervous system. Misalignments of the vertebrae of the spinal column result in pressure and irritation to the large spinal nerves. This pressure causes interference to the flow of messages from the brain into the body which results in pain and malfunction. This condition is called vertebral subluxation.

Chiropractic care accomplishes three things:

1. Pain Relief. Chiropractic care is extremely effective in alleviating pain from all parts of the body.

2. A Greater Level of Health. Chiropractic care is a lifelong system of healthcare which results in a greater level of health, greater resistance to disease and a longer life.

3. Enhanced Athletic Performance. There are many studies which clearly document that chiropractic care increases the level of performance in athletes, without the use of drugs.  Almost all high level athletes are under chiropractic care. The United States Olympicteam has a team of 12 chiropractors who treat the athletes for enhanced performance.

Many chronic problems respond very well to chiropractic care including all types of headaches, allergies, asthma, lowered resistance, and fatigue.

The Difference Between Chiropractic and Medicine
The basic difference between chiropractic care and medical care is that drugs attempt to hide or mask the pain while chiropractic care corrects the cause of the pain.
